【摘要】:Rubberarticles,suchasseals,gaskets,andmembranes,maybeexposedinservicetochlorinecompoundsusedinpotablewaterasdisinfectants.Theexposuremaybeintermittentorcontinuousandcanoccuratvarioustemperatures.Propertiesofrubberarticlescandeteriorateasaresultofexposuretowatercontainingthesechlorinecompounds,affectingtheirperformancefortheintendeduse.Thistestmethodattemptstosimulateserviceconditionsthroughcontrolledacceleratedtesting,butmaynotgiveadirectcorrelationwithpartperformanceunderactualserviceconditions.Ityieldscomparativedataonwhichtobasejudgementonexpectedservicequality.Thistestmethodissuitableforcompliancetesting,qualitycontrol,andresearchanddevelopmentwork.1.1Thistestmethodcoversproceduresforevaluatingtheabilityofrubberandrubber-likematerialstowithstandtheeffectsofaqueoussolutionswithavailablechlorineandchloramine.Itisintendedtocomparetheeffectsofchlorinecompounds,presentinpotablewaterduetodisinfectionprocedures,onrubberarticles.1.2Testsolutionsaredesignedtocontainchlorinecompounds,includinghypochlorousacid(HOCl),hypochloriteions(OCl),andmonochloramine(NH2Cl).1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
