【摘要】:TheGeographyMarkupLanguage(GML)isanXMLencodingincompliancewithISO19118forthetransportandstorageofgeographicinformationmodelledinaccordancewiththeconceptualmodellingframeworkusedintheISO19100seriesofInternationalStandardsandincludingboththespatialandnon-spatialpropertiesofgeographicfeatures.ThisInternationalStandarddefinestheXMLSchemasyntax,mechanismsandconventionsthat:--provideanopen,vendor-neutralframeworkforthedescriptionofgeospatialapplicationschemasforthetransportandstorageofgeographicinformationinXML;--allowprofilesthatsupportpropersubsetsofGMLframeworkdescriptivecapabilities;--supportthedescriptionofgeospatialapplicationschemasforspecializeddomainsandinformationcommunities;--enablethecreationandmaintenanceoflinkedgeographicapplicationschemasanddatasets;--supportthestorageandtransportofapplicationschemasanddatasets;--increasetheabilityoforganizationstosharegeographicapplicationschemasandtheinformationtheydescribe.ImplementersmaydecidetostoregeographicapplicationschemasandinformationinGML,ortheymaydecidetoconvertfromsomeotherstorageformatondemandanduseGMLonlyforschemaanddatatransport.NOTEIfanISO19109conformantapplicationschemadescribedinUMLisusedasthebasisforthestorageandtransportationofgeographicinformation,thisInternationalStandardprovidesnormativerulesforthemappingofsuchanapplicationschematoaGMLapplicationschemainXMLSchemaand,assuch,toanXMLencodingfordatawithalogicalstructureinaccordancewiththeISO19109conformantapplicationschema.
